AGLC FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE GUIDELINES
SPECIAL GROUPS
A. PERFORMING SPECIAL GROUPS
1. Guidelines for Financial Assistance from AGLC Funds for Performing
Special Groups
a. Funds will be distributed at the discretion of the executive when available.
b. A Performing Special Group is any special group that performs public displays of
music, dance, singing or any other activity on behalf of the Society that is deemed
presentable.
c. Funds are available for the following:
1) costumes
2) equipment
3) composition
4) instruction
5) competition entry fees
6) travel inside the province for the purpose of representing the Society
7) any other expenses deemed acceptable by the AGLC
d. Funds must be used for activities that are compatible with Society and Special Group
objectives.
e. Requests will be in writing and directed to the Society by the Special Group Chair.
2. Guidelines for Financial Assistance from AGLC Funds for Performing
Special Groups Members
a. Funds will be distributed at the discretion of the executive when available.
b. A Performing Special Group Member is any member of a Performing Special Group
in good standing who performs or assists in the public displays of music, dance, singing
or any other activity on behalf of the Society that is deemed presentable.
c. Funds are available for the following:
1) costumes
2) equipment
3) instruction
4) travel inside the province for the purpose of representing the Society
5) any other expenses deemed acceptable by the AGLC
d. Special group Members are eligible to claim compensation once their personal
expenses have exceeded $200. Receipts must be supplied.
e. Funds must be used for activities that are compatible with Society and Special Group
objectives.
f. Requests will be in writing and directed to the Society by the Special Group Member
with a supporting letter from the Special Group Chair.
3. Guidelines for Financial Assistance from AGLC Funds for Performing
Special Groups Voluntary Instructors
a. Funds will be distributed at the discretion of the executive when available.
b. A Performing Special Group Voluntary Instructor is any member of a Performing
Special Group in good standing who instructs the special group in the special group's
activity on a voluntary basis and performs or assists in the public displays of music,
dance, singing or any other activity on behalf of the Society that is deemed
presentable.
c. Funds are available for the following:
1) costumes
2) equipment
3) instruction
4) travel inside the province for the purpose of representing the Society
5) any other expenses deemed acceptable by the AGLC
d. Special Group Voluntary Instructors are eligible to claim compensation once their
personal expenses have exceeded $200. Receipts must be supplied.
e. Funds must be used for activities that are compatible with Society and Special Group
objectives.
f. Requests will be in writing and directed to the Society by the Special Group Voluntary
Instructor with a supporting letter from the Special Group Chair.
B. SERVICE SPECIAL GROUPS
1. Guidelines for Financial Assistance from AGLC Funds for Service Special
Groups
a. Funds will be distributed at the discretion of the executive when available.
b. A Service Special Group is any special group that provides the Society and its
members with a service.
c. Funds are available for the following:
1) rentals
2) facilities
3) catering
4) supplies
5) travel inside the province for the purpose of representing the Society
6) any other expenses deemed acceptable by the AGLC
d. Funds must be used for activities that are compatible with Society and Special Group
objectives.
e. Requests with attached receipts will be in writing and directed to the Society by the
Special Group Chair.
