The Society’s Annual St. Andrew’s Ball will be held
at the Danish Canadian Club, 727 - 11th Avenue SW
on Saturday, 22 November 2008. This will be the
Society’s 125th gathering to celebrate Scotland’s
Patron Saint. Cocktails start at 5:30pm in the
Valhalla Room with dinner starting at 6:20pm.
Dinner will open with ‘Isle of Mull’ Salad, followed
by 10oz Eye of Prime Rib, peeled roasted potatoes,
bannock, vegetables and horseradish and finished with
‘Tobermory Trifle’. Special entertainers will include:
vocalists Heather & Ross Smith and the Gaelic Choir,
Pipers & Dancers of the Society. Bobby Brown and
Scottish Accent will provide the music for the Ball
which will commence with the Grand March, then the
Gay Gordons, Highland Fair, Reel of the Royal Scots,
Rose of the North, Jubilee Jig, Saltire Society Reel,
Auld Lang Syne, De’il Amang the Tailors, Findlater
Castle, Waltz of the Bells, Maxwell’s Rant, Hazel
Tree, Neidpath Castle, Catch the Wind, EH3 7AF,
Sugar Candie, Machine without Horses,
Montgomerie’s Rant and St. Bernard’s Waltz with
extras Wild Geese and Bratach Bana. Tickets are $55

reservations will only be made for groups of 8 and a
limited number of groups of 10. Once you have your

General seating will be available for small groups at
5:30pm. Those with special meal requirements must
